Abstract

Hypertension is a disorder that occurs in the circulatory system which causes an increase in blood pressure above normal levels, that is, systolic blood pressure ≥140 mmHg and or diastolic blood pressure ≥90 mmHg. The purpose of this study is to determine the pattern of antihypertensive drug use in the Cikarang Community Health Center during the period of January-February 2023. This study is a non-experimental study with a descriptive method, data collection is done retrospectively. Data was taken from the medical records of hypertensive patients. The results of the study using 46 samples, the results of the characteristics of hypertensive patients were obtained based on age, blood pressure, and comorbid diseases. In the pattern of hypertension treatment based on age, the results showed that patients aged 30-60 years used the most Calcium Channel Blocker (CCB) group, namely amlodipine 5mg, as much as 74%, as well as those aged 61-70 years used the most amlodipine 5mg, as much as 18%. In the pattern of hypertension treatment based on blood pressure, the results showed that patients with stage II hypertension used the most Calcium Channel Blocker (CCB) group, namely amlodipine 5mg, as much as 61%, as well as stage I hypertension used the most amlodipine 5mg, as much as 30%. In the pattern of hypertension treatment based on comorbid diseases, the results showed that patients with DM used the most amlodipine 5mg, as much as 9%, but there were no hypertensive patients with chronic kidney failure (CKD).
