PENERAPAN OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY ASSESSMENT SERIES : 18001

Abstract

Work accident can cause some disadvantages, it could be fatalities, the loss of work time (suspension), productivity decreased, negative psycology effect to worker, bad reputation of company, fines from the Government, as well as the possibility of reduced opportunity effort or loss of customers service users. The history of work accident in PT. DOK perkapalam surabaya in 2010 was 7 cases, in 2011 was 15 cases, in 2012 9 cases, in 2013 4 cases, in 2014 2 cases, in 2015 5 cases, and in 2016 3 cases. The goal is to know the application of OHSAS 18001 in PT. Dok dan Perkapalan Surabaya (Persero).

This study is qualitative descriptive.Sampling technique using proportional random sampling and the amount of sample was 73 worker in production section. Data collected by interview, observation, and documentation study.

The results are 93% 93% for K3 policy component, 95% for K3 planning component, 90% for K3 application components, 93% for the evaluation component of the K3, and 97% for corrective actions. All the results categorized in good criteria, so the number of work accident cases in Pt dok perkapalan surabaya persero will decreased.

This company must out supervisory commitment so health safety management sistem in PT. Dok dan perkapalan surabaya can be applied well to decrease work accident cases.
